A family run business, Hiddleston Joiners still upholds the same traditional craftsmanship and ethics that our clients have loved and cherished since 1983.
Our location in Dumfries & Galloway, with its beautiful, open areas of countryside, keeps us in touch with traditional values and what it means to have a stunning, elegant kitchen, bespoke study or specifically designed bedroom and the handcrafted furniture to go in it.
For more than 30 years we have specialised in creating custom built rooms and furniture for our clients’ homes. Every commission is individually designed and hand-built to order.
Our service includes full project management, including ancillary trades, right through to installation, by the people who designed and built each bespoke piece. Professional standards combined with personal attention mean our customers can be assured that Hiddleston products will last for years to come.
We have no standard patterns, styles or sizes, allowing your imagination run free with no constraints.
All of our projects enjoy the quality which traditional carpentry brings to a room or piece of furniture:
- All front frames and doors with mortise and tenon joints
- Traditional recessed hinges
- Solid timber carcasses
- Extensive use of hand tools
- Hand finishes including painting by hand
We take pride in training our own apprentices. All six of our fully certificated craftsmen joined the company as apprentices and now have almost 200 collective years of experience working to the highest standards of craftsmanship in all types of natural materials, such as oak, walnut, marble and granite, and quartz.
