Edinburgh Circus Lane Mews House Project

As part of a full renovation for our client’s mews house property, which included moving a full floorplan change by our clients contractor, we created a handcrafted kitchen perfect for their period property.

With windows on the smaller side and to ensure we were adding as much light as possible we kept the colour palette fresh and airy with Little Greene Aquamarine being chosen for the primary cabinet colour. The dining table/bench, wine racking and carcases were all made of oak, adding softer elements to the colour scheme and marrying well with the client’s floor and chair choices.

The statement feature of the project is the centre island with quartz down stands on either end, creating both a striking look with a practical feel. We added antique brass double sockets which allows our clients to plug in laptops/phones or any smaller appliances when required.

Our clients are keen entertainers therefore it was important that we included an array of high-end appliances that will assist them when catering for friends and family.

We added the Quooker boiling water tap in Patinated Brass finish which also has the sparkling and chilled water, Caple’s integrated wine fridge, Neff’s Combi Oven/Single Oven with Slide & Hide door, deep warming drawer, integrated dishwasher and tall fridge freezer.

The integrated Fisher Paykel Cool Drawer can be switched to various temperature modes including freeze mode when required for fully versatility ideal for storing prepared party food and drinks.

It was important to our clients that we maximised storage with this design, therefore we added upper cabinets throughout for glassware/plates/bowls and included a large double door pantry, with practical spice/bottle racks and shelves, allowing lots of room for storing dry goods.

Underneath the centre island overhang, we also added wine racking to safely showcase our client’s collection, and shelving for cookbooks.

On the other side of the room. the media cabinet was designed around our clients TV, we added practical drawers and cabinets with shelves to allow our clients to style with their own possessions. The oak surface helps with the continuity of the overall scheme and effectively placed LED lighting creates a real statement.
