Modern Farmhouse Kitchen
Although our clients original kitchen was still in very good condition, the overall look and feel was ready for an update and refresh to our clients taste. A full renovation project went underway with the clients own contractors replacing flooring and other rooms at the same time whilst we focused on designing and crafting the kitchen cabinetry.
Our client was looking for a contemporary kitchen style but was still keen to retain traditional elements in keeping with his home. We felt a good way to do this was to use a traditional cabinetry door style and so we selected our Auchenreoch range, an in-frame range with cockbead detail, recessed panel and beading along with oak veneered carcases and dovetail drawers, all handcrafted by us. To give this kitchen some depth and character, we decided on Farrow & Ball railings as the cabinet colour. To contrast this, we selected 30mm light marble style quartz for the worktops.
A striking feature of this kitchen is the beautiful antique mirrored splashback which is all hand-distressed and made to order, a truly unique bespoke piece. This mirror also allowed the opportunity for light to reflect off it and make the room feel more spacious. We also supplied the pendant lightings from our supplier which were hand-blown and crafted to order to our clients specification.
The centre island includes an extra-wide cutlery and utensil drawer making it easy to set the table.
Modern appliances from our supplier including the ever-popular Quooker boiling water tap and Fisher & Paykel CoolDrawer compliment everyday, busy living, as well as being fantastic items to have for entertaining.
The additional of the media cabinet helped blend the dining area into the kitchen with the clients Samsung Frame TV in the centre.
